Draft horse connector
A swingletree is a horizontal crossbar to which the traces of a harness are attached, allowing a draft animal to pull a plow, wagon, or other implement.
The bar pivots at its center, distributing the pulling force evenly.
Also called a singletree or whippletree.
The old swingletree hung in the barn, cracked from decades of use.
