surrender terms
Vanquished party's obligations
Surrender terms are the conditions under which a defeated party agrees to stop fighting.
These specify what the losing side must do—disarm, withdraw, release prisoners, cede territory—and what the victor guarantees in return.
Terms may be negotiated or dictated: The general refused to discuss surrender terms, unconditional surrender terms left no room for negotiation.
