Inept, bumbling person
A stumblebum is a clumsy, incompetent person—someone who stumbles through life or work without grace or skill.
Originally American slang for a washed-up or second-rate boxer, it extended to any bungler or has-been: The department is run by stumblebums who can't get anything right.
The word carries affectionate contempt rather than genuine hostility.
