Paving the asphalt
A street worker is someone who performs their job primarily outdoors in public spaces.
The term most often refers to social workers or outreach staff who engage with homeless populations, sex workers, or at-risk youth in their environments rather than office settings: Street workers distributed clean needles and condoms.
It can also refer to prostitutes who solicit clients on the street, or to municipal workers who maintain roads and infrastructure.
