street cricket
Informal road game
Street cricket is an informal version of cricket played in streets, alleys, parking lots, or other improvised spaces rather than on proper pitches.
Common throughout South Asia, the Caribbean, and anywhere cricket is popular, it adapts rules to fit available space—a trash bin for stumps, a tennis ball instead of a hard one, cars and walls as boundaries.
We played street cricket until it got dark.
