stork nest
Chimney-top bird home
A stork nest is the large platform structure built by storks, typically atop chimneys, poles, rooftops, or trees.
These nests are notable for their enormous size—often several feet across—and for being reused and expanded year after year by returning pairs.
In European folklore, a stork nest on one's roof brings good luck: The village protected the stork nest on the church steeple.
