Stone grinding is the process of crushing or milling grain or other materials between stones, typically a rotating stone against a stationary one.
This traditional method predates modern steel rollers and remains valued for producing flour that retains more of the grain's natural oils and nutrients: stone-ground cornmeal, stone-grinding wheat the old-fashioned way.
