state houses
Governors' official workplaces
State houses are residences provided by a government for citizens, typically as affordable rental housing.
The term is most common in New Zealand and Australia, where state housing programs developed in the mid-twentieth century to address housing shortages.
In the United States, a statehouse (one word) is the building where a state legislature meets.
