Flexible platform leap
A springboard dive is a dive performed from a flexible board mounted above a pool, where the diver uses the board's spring to gain height and execute aerial maneuvers before entering the water.
The springboard—typically set at one or three meters—allows divers to achieve greater elevation than a rigid platform: She scored a 9.2 on her springboard dive.
