Pressurized cooking fat
Spray oil is cooking oil packaged in an aerosol can or pump sprayer, used to coat pans and baking sheets with a thin, even layer: Give the pan a quick spritz of spray oil before adding the batter.
The format reduces the amount of oil used compared to pouring.
Some versions contain propellants and additives; others are simply refillable bottles with a pump mechanism.
