spit-up
Infant's milk reversal
Spit-up is the mild regurgitation typical of infants—milk or formula that comes back up shortly after feeding.
Unlike vomit, spit-up flows out passively without force or distress: The baby got spit-up on my shoulder.
As a verb, to spit up is to produce such regurgitation: She spits up after every bottle.
