spin-dry
Whirl out moisture
To spin-dry is to remove water from wet laundry by spinning it rapidly in a drum, forcing moisture out through centrifugal action.
Most washing machines include a spin-dry cycle before clothes go to the dryer or clothesline: I'll spin-dry these towels before hanging them out.
The hyphen distinguishes the verb from the noun spin dryer.
