Sperm freezing is the preservation of sperm cells at extremely low temperatures for later use in fertility treatments.
Men may freeze sperm before cancer treatment, vasectomy, or military deployment, or simply to preserve fertility options: He decided on sperm freezing before starting chemotherapy.
The technical term is sperm cryopreservation.
