natural conception
Pregnancy without intervention
Natural conception is pregnancy achieved through sexual intercourse without medical intervention—distinguished from assisted reproduction like in vitro fertilization or artificial insemination.
The term appears most often in fertility discussions: After three rounds of IVF failed, they conceived naturally.
Also called spontaneous conception.
