Puckering hard candies
Sour balls are hard, round candies with a tart, acidic coating or flavor.
They're typically fruit-flavored and coated in citric acid that makes the mouth pucker: She kept a jar of sour balls on her desk.
The name comes from their spherical shape and sour taste.
