shower scene
Bathing film moment
A shower scene is a film or television sequence showing a character bathing, typically used to display nudity or create vulnerability.
The term evokes Hitchcock's *Psycho*, whose shower scene became iconic for its editing and violence.
In contemporary usage, shower scenes often serve as pretexts for showing actors' bodies: Every episode seems to have a gratuitous shower scene.
