semicoma
Between awake and unconscious
Semicoma is a state of partial unconsciousness from which a person can be roused with difficulty but cannot respond normally.
It represents a middle ground between full consciousness and deep coma, where the patient may show some awareness or reaction to stimuli but remains largely unresponsive.
Medical professionals use the term to describe patients whose level of consciousness is significantly impaired but not completely absent.
