sell order
Liquidation market directive
A sell order is an instruction to a broker or trading platform to sell a security at a specified price or at the current market price.
The term appears in stock trading, cryptocurrency exchanges, and other financial markets: I placed a sell order when the stock hit $50.
Sell orders may be immediate (market orders) or triggered when prices reach certain levels (limit orders, stop-loss orders).
