self-existence
Uncaused eternal presence
Self-existence is the quality of existing independently, without being caused or sustained by anything else.
In philosophy and theology, self-existence is an attribute of God or ultimate reality—that which simply is, requiring no creator or explanation beyond itself.
Only a self-existent being could be the first cause.
