sandblasts
Erodes with grit
Sandblasts is the third-person singular of sandblast—to clean, etch, or smooth a surface by propelling sand or similar abrasive material at high pressure.
The process strips paint, rust, or grime from metal, stone, or glass: He sandblasts the old railing before repainting it.
Sandblasting also creates frosted or textured finishes on decorative glass.
