salt blocks
Livestock mineral supplements
Salt blocks are compressed blocks of mineral salt, typically provided for livestock to lick as a nutritional supplement.
Ranchers place them in pastures where cattle, horses, and other animals can access them freely.
Salt blocks also appear in wildlife management, attracting deer and other game to specific locations.
In cooking, heated Himalayan salt blocks serve as cooking surfaces that season food while grilling.
