roach clip
Smoking stub grip
A roach clip is a small clamp or holder used to grip the end of a marijuana cigarette when it has burned too short to hold comfortably.
The term comes from roach, slang for the unsmoked butt of a joint.
Any small clip can serve—hemostats, alligator clips, even bobby pins: She fished a roach clip out of the ashtray.
