ring girls
Boxing card bearers
Ring girls are women who walk around a boxing or MMA ring between rounds, holding up numbered signs to indicate the upcoming round.
They typically wear revealing outfits and are hired primarily for visual appeal.
The role has expanded to other combat sports and promotional events: The ring girls circled the octagon as fighters returned to their corners.
