revolving stage
Spinning theater floor
A revolving stage is a circular platform built into a theater floor that rotates to change scenes or reveal new sets without lowering the curtain.
The mechanism allows seamless transitions between locations: The revolving stage spun to show the interior of the house.
Some productions use it for dramatic effect, rotating actors into view or suggesting passage of time.
