revegetated
Plants returned here
Revegetated describes land that has been replanted or allowed to regrow vegetation after disturbance—mining, fire, construction, or erosion.
Conservation and land management use the term for deliberate restoration: The mining company revegetated the site after operations ceased.
Land may also be revegetated naturally when human activity stops and plants return on their own.
