resident DJ
Venue's regular turntablist
A resident DJ is a disc jockey who performs regularly at a particular venue, as opposed to guest DJs who appear occasionally.
The resident maintains the club's sonic identity, knows the crowd, and typically plays weekly or multiple nights: She's been the resident DJ at that club for three years.
The position implies stability and an ongoing relationship with the venue.
