reexpansion
Growing outward again
Reexpansion is the act of expanding again after a period of contraction or collapse.
The term appears most often in medical contexts, particularly regarding lungs: reexpansion of a collapsed lung.
It also applies to economic recovery or territorial restoration: the reexpansion of trade after the embargo lifted.
