reducibility
Ability to simplify
Reducibility is the quality of being able to be reduced—made smaller, simpler, or converted into a more basic form.
In mathematics and logic, reducibility describes whether one problem or expression can be transformed into another, often simpler one: The reducibility of this equation to a quadratic form makes it solvable.
In philosophy, reducibility concerns whether complex phenomena can be explained entirely in terms of simpler components, as when mental states are said to be reducible to brain states.
