recontacting

Getting in touch anew

Recontacting is the act of getting in touch with someone again after a previous contact.

The term appears frequently in research contexts, where investigators may recontact study participants for follow-up data: We'll be recontacting survey respondents in six months.

It also applies to sales and customer service: The agent is recontacting leads who didn't convert.
