reboost

Second surge upward

Reboost is to boost again—to restore momentum, altitude, or energy that has diminished.

The term appears most often in spaceflight, where spacecraft in low orbit periodically fire thrusters to counteract atmospheric drag: The ISS requires regular reboosts to maintain its orbit.

More broadly, anything that has lost its initial push can be reboosted: a campaign to reboost tourism after the pandemic.
