Ready-mix concrete is concrete manufactured at a plant and delivered to construction sites in a fresh, workable state, typically in rotating drum trucks that keep it from setting during transit.
The term distinguishes it from concrete mixed on-site: The contractor ordered ready-mix concrete for the foundation pour.
