reading period
Pre-exam review time
A reading period is a stretch of time set aside for focused study, typically the days before final exams at colleges and universities when classes end but tests haven't yet begun: I'm using reading period to catch up on everything I didn't read during the semester.
The term also applies to any designated interval for reviewing material, such as the time Congress has to examine a bill before voting.
