re-upping

Extending one's commitment

Re-upping is renewing or extending a commitment, originally military slang for reenlisting: He re-upped for another four years in the Army.

The term has spread to contracts, subscriptions, and any repeated commitment: I'm re-upping my gym membership, The network re-upped the show for a second season.

To re-up a supply is to replenish it: Time to re-up on coffee.
