re-experiencing
Feeling it again
Re-experiencing is living through something again, especially in memory or imagination.
The term appears most often in psychology, where it describes involuntary returns to traumatic events—flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive memories that feel as vivid as the original experience: Re-experiencing symptoms are central to PTSD diagnosis.
Outside clinical contexts, re-experiencing can be voluntary and pleasant: Re-experiencing the concert through photos brought it all back.
