A rap sheet is a record of someone's criminal history, listing arrests and convictions.
The term comes from police slang, where rap meant a criminal charge.
His rap sheet goes back twenty years.
Informally, rap sheet extends to any accumulated record of offenses or failures: The company has quite a rap sheet with the EPA.
