radio edits
Censored song cuts
Radio edits are versions of songs modified for broadcast, typically shortened and scrubbed of profanity, explicit sexual content, or drug references.
The editing might involve cutting verses, fading early, or replacing offending words with silence, sound effects, or clean alternatives: The radio edit bleeps out every curse word.
Sometimes the changes are so extensive the song feels neutered.
