radiation badge
Worn dose monitor
A radiation badge is a small device worn by workers exposed to ionizing radiation—in hospitals, nuclear plants, or research facilities.
The badge contains material that records cumulative radiation exposure over time, allowing employers to monitor whether workers stay within safe limits: Everyone in the X-ray department wears a radiation badge.
Also called a dosimeter badge or film badge.
