putz
Useless foolish person
Putz is Yiddish-derived slang for a fool or ineffectual person: Don't be such a putz.
The word literally means penis in Yiddish, though this sense is rarely intended in English usage.
To putz around is to waste time on trivial activities: He spent the afternoon putzing around in the garage.
