putzes

Incompetent time wasters

Putzes is the plural of putz, a Yiddish-derived word for a fool or incompetent person: Those putzes couldn't organize a two-car parade.

The singular putz is also vulgar slang for penis, though the insult sense dominates in American English.

To putz around is to waste time on trivial activities.
