Reeling from blows
Punchdrunk describes the dazed, confused state of a boxer who has taken too many blows to the head—unsteady, slow to react, not thinking clearly.
The term extends to anyone left reeling by repeated setbacks or overwhelming circumstances: After three all-nighters, I was punchdrunk and barely coherent.
