punch-drunk
Woozy from blows
Punch-drunk describes someone dazed or confused from repeated blows to the head, originally said of boxers showing signs of brain damage: slurred speech, unsteady gait, impaired thinking.
The term extends to anyone bewildered from exhaustion or overwhelming circumstances: After three days without sleep, I was punch-drunk and barely coherent.
