pulled thread
Sweater's loose strand
Pulled thread is an embroidery technique where threads are drawn out of a fabric's weave, then the remaining threads are gathered and stitched to create decorative openwork patterns.
The result resembles delicate lacework: She added pulled thread borders to the linen tablecloth.
