proximity card
Wireless access token
A proximity card is an ID card containing an embedded chip or antenna that communicates wirelessly with a reader when held nearby.
Used for building access, time tracking, and security systems, proximity cards don't require physical contact or swiping—just being close enough triggers the reader: She waved her proximity card at the door.
