proaction

Acting before required

Proaction is taking initiative before problems arise, the opposite of reaction.

Where reaction responds to events already unfolding, proaction anticipates and shapes them: The company's proaction on cybersecurity prevented the breach.

The word is less common than its adjective proactive, which dominates in business and self-help contexts.
