Presbyteries is the plural of presbytery, which has several related meanings in Christian church contexts.
A presbytery is the governing body of a group of Presbyterian congregations in a district, or the district itself.
In Catholic and some other churches, it refers to the residence of a priest or the area around the altar reserved for clergy.
The presbyteries of the regional synod voted on the measure.
