pre-record
Film before broadcast
Pre-record means to record something in advance of its broadcast or intended use.
A television show is pre-recorded when it's taped before airtime rather than broadcast live: The interview was pre-recorded earlier this week.
The term distinguishes planned, edited content from spontaneous live transmission.
