Center's offensive technique
A post move is a basketball maneuver performed with one's back to the basket, typically in the low post area near the hoop.
Players use footwork, body positioning, and fakes to create scoring opportunities against defenders: He has an arsenal of post moves—drop steps, up-and-fakes, hook shots.
The term extends to any close-range offensive technique from this position.
