posh accent
Upper-class vocal style
A posh accent is an upper-class British manner of speaking, associated with private schools, aristocracy, and traditional privilege.
The term usually refers to Received Pronunciation or something close to it—crisp vowels, precise enunciation, no regional markers: She answered the phone in a posh accent.
Americans sometimes use it loosely for any British accent that sounds refined or fancy.
