plastic art
Shaped material creations
Plastic art refers to visual arts that involve shaping or molding materials—sculpture, ceramics, and similar three-dimensional work.
The term derives from the Greek word for molding, distinguishing arts that shape physical matter from those that don't, like music or literature.
In broader usage, plastic arts may include painting and drawing alongside sculptural forms.
