pet therapy
Comfort creature sessions
Pet therapy is the use of animals—typically dogs, cats, or horses—to provide comfort, companionship, or emotional support to people in hospitals, nursing homes, or other care settings.
The animals are usually trained and accompanied by handlers.
Also called animal-assisted therapy: The nursing home brings in dogs for pet therapy twice a week.
